Jody Foltyn, Vice President

Jody Foltyn joined Capitol Strategies Group in April of 2006 and was named Vice President in 2009. Jody is a regular presence at the Ohio Statehouse, lobbying members of the General Assembly on behalf of the firm’s clients. At Capitol Strategies Group, Jody works closely with clients to analyze legislation and agency regulations that impact their interests. Additionally, Jody is responsible for the development of strategic political giving plans that maximize the impact of clients’ valuable PAC resources.
From 2006 to 2013, Jody played a key role as a member of the Republican Senate Campaign Committee (RSCC) – helping the caucus achieve their largest majority in 43 years. Her responsibilities included the direct oversight of district operations for campaign managers and candidates as well as comprehensive campaign strategy development and implementation. In 2010 and 2012, Jody spearheaded RSCC’s direct mail operations, assisted in the creative production of TV and radio advertisements and coordinated all of the teleforums and ID/advocacy phone programs for RSCC candidates.
Jody Foltyn graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University Honors Program in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and minors in History and Geography. While in college, Jody was a member of the Mount Leadership Society, a scholars program at OSU that focused on community service and leadership training. Prior to joining the Capitol Strategies Group, Jody was employed by the Ohio House of Representatives.
Jody Foltyn is a 2011 graduate of the Jo Ann Davidson Ohio Leadership Institute. Created by former Ohio House of Representatives Speaker and Co-Chair of the Republican National Committee, Jo Ann Davidson, the eight-month program is designed to encourage and train women to become leaders in politics and government.
